Hi, my name is Katrina Bullen and I have many years of secretarial experience working for various companies and organisations and as a self-employed secretary. The aim of K Secretarial Services is to make life easier for businesses and individuals by performing high quality work, on time, for a reasonable cost. I live in Paraparaumu, New Zealand, and am married to Brian, with whom I have three amazing children, Alesha, Nathan and Jessica. I enjoy managing family and work life and the challenges they present.

Duties included:

  • Email management for Executive Manager and Service Delivery Manager
  • Travel arrangements for Service Delivery team
  • Managing the Service Delivery complaints process
  • Minute taking for Service Delivery team meetings and management team meetings
  • Updating uniform databases for Logistics Manager
  • Managing and processing speed infringement notices
  • Organising meetings, functions and catering as required
  • Typing of correspondence and reports by digital dictation

June 2011 to Aug 2013:  Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive and Executive Manager - Service Development & Delivery, Wellington Free Ambulance.

Duties included:

  • Diary management
  • Email management for Chief Executive and Executive Manager
  • Liaising with key stakeholders

I was employed by GlaxoSmithKline, initially on a temp assignment as Secretary to the Manager of the QA Laboratories, and then taken on permanently as Administration Assistant to the Respiratory QA Laboratory Manager.

My duties included: Diary Management; Email management for Manager; Travel bookings; Organising meetings, booking rooms etc; Updating weekly and daily graphs of performance for the laboratory using Excel; Taking minutes at various weekly and monthly meetings; Typing of reports, correspondence etc as required.

Feb 2001-Nov 2001 Wellington Institute of Technology, Heretaunga Campus (formerly CIT)
I was employed as Secretary on a fixed-term contract, which was a job share position, initially employed by Central Institute of Technology with the Department of Radiation Therapy and Department of Podiatry.
My duties included: General secretarial duties as required; Internal mail sorting and distribution; Photocopying; Typing of reports, correspondence and exam papers as required.

Sep 1997-Oct 1998:  Beca Carter Hollings & Ferner Ltd, Consulting Engineers
Worked for Beca as Quality System Secretary. I left Beca to have my daughter Alesha.

My duties included: Updating and distribution of Quality Documents throughout the company; Typing of reports, correspondence etc relating to the Company Quality System; Photocopying, binding and general quality control of documents for distribution; Other general secretarial duties as required.


1988-1997:  Various other administration roles within various companies in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

INTERESTS

Watching and participating in sports where I can, especially golf.  I enjoy playing the guitar and singing in our worship band at church.  I also enjoy reading (when I get the chance) and spending time with family and friends.
